How do I revert to my old driver?

In most cases, you want to have the latest device drivers on your computer. Hardware companies often release updated drivers to fix bugs, increase stability and to offer new features. It is definitely advantageous to keep your drivers updated. This can be done through searching online for the latest drivers, downloading them from vendor websites or using driver update software, such as ParetoLogic DriverCure.

However, there might be a situation where you want to revert to your previous driver. For example, you may wish to do so if you downloaded the wrong driver by mistake. Of course, before installing any driver for your hardware it is important to make sure that it is coming from a website you trust.

  3. Go to "System Tools" and pick "Device Manager"
  4. On the right side, expand the categories to find the hardware device whose driver you want reverted — Right click on this device and select "Properties"
