Can you imagine life without USBs? The Universal Serial Bus is used as the gateway to printing your kid's school report, loading new tunes onto your iPod, accessing files from your flash drive and even mousing. According to a PC World article, as of 2008, about 2 billion USB devices are sold each year. The standards for USBs are set by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). The group's members have included prestigious companies such as Apple, Microsoft, NEC, Hewlett-Packard.
The great thing about USB devices is that most are built to certain protocols so you can easily "plug and play". They also allow for such things as "hot swapping" (connecting or disconnecting devices without restarting) and for use without an external power supply. However, some devices, such as those requiring motors and lamps, do require more power than a single port can provide. While USBs were designed for personal computers you can also find them on such things as PDAs and video game consoles.

Always innovative, ParetoLogic is proud to announce that DriverCure is
compatible with the Windows® 7 32-bit and 64-bit Operating System!
One of the great advantages of USB technology is that it utilizes class drivers. In other words, one driver can handle all kinds of hardware of a certain class/type. However, some devices still require manufacturer specific device drivers to be installed When this happens, the class drivers will not be enough, and you will have to find the right driver for your hardware to function.
Just wanted to thank all of you for your fabulous programs that I have been using for over a year and a half.
